THOM BROWNE/WES ANDERSON INSPIRED PHOTO SHOOT
A photo shoot project blending the iconic symmetrical style of Wes Anderson filmmaking with the aesthetic principles found in Thom Browne fashion and promotional photo shoots
Taken at my aunt and uncle’s house using my cousin as a model. The entire project was done completely for free with all props, set materials, outfits all preowned and the hair/make-up, styling, and photography done by myself with my aunt as my assistant
EDWARDIAN WOMEN’S ATHLETIC WEAR PHOTO SHOOT
A History of Fashion assignment to do a photo shoot based in a historical time period. I chose to the Edwardian period and focused on women’s athletic wear as this was the beginning of women’s styling catering to athletic pursuits. I was also inspired by images of Edwardian women hiking and mountaineering in dresses and heels; which directed my own project to focus on a female hiker
This photo shoot took place at Sawblade Falls in Pinecone Burke Provincal Park in Coquitlam, B.C. The clothing and props for this photo shoot were a combination of previously owned garments/props, second hand clothing, and a few purchased items that were too period specific to be found secondhand. Hair and make-up were done by myself with the help of my model — my aunt. On the day of the shoot I acted as photographer and stylist, my aunt was the model, and we had a family friend come as well to act as the assistant
MEDIEVAL/FANTASY INSPIRED PHOTO SHOOT
Photo shoot directed and photographed to give the impression of stills and promotional photography for a fantasy or medieval setting project
This photo shoot took place at my aunt and uncle’s house. Most of the props and clothing used in the photo shoot were already owned by myself and other family members, with the rest of the needed materials being bought from secondhand stores. I acted as photographer, stylist and secondary model while my sister was my primary model and assistant photographer
